Site Description: Welcome to the Lindsey family name web site.
This site is open to the descendant families of James Lindsey who lived in Trigg County, Kentucky at the founding of our country. He was born in 1758 and died in 1838. He was also a soldier in the Revolutionary War and was married to Delilah Hodgson Brewer. This is as far back as I was able to trace the Lindsey line for my family with any degree of certainty. James Alfred Lindsey (b. April 23, 1783), son of James Lindsey was married to Jane Scott (b. Aug 6, 1792). James was a soldier in the War of 1812. David L. Lindsey (b. Jan 28, 1823), son of James Alfred Lindsey was married to Sara Sophia Deardorff (b. May 3, 1843). David was a Captain in the Union army during the Civil War. Most of the initial members will be descendant families of David Alfred Lindsey (b. September 05, 1870) in Pleasanton, Kansas. He was David Lindsey's son and James Lindsey's great-grandson. David Alfred was married to Mary Alice Rollings (b. June 10, 1871).
